I am so excited to offer parents a chance to help in our classroom! We especially need volunteers to help out for literacy and math stations when the children work on stations in small group activities independently in the discovery room while I work with my own group in the classroom.. The success of our program is truly based on parent, grandparents, family and community member volunteers! The children truly love spending time with you and I promise you will always have a smile on your face around them! I will be sending home a volunteer calendar to sign up for a morning or afternoon time to come help out. Please be sure to complete a volunteer background check online http://www.cpcsc.k12.in.us/o/district/page/volunteer-info. We can't wait to have you!
Here are a few ways you can help at SCHOOL:: -Reading Partner- Read with a child or small group in the hallway -Tutor- Devote your time helping students who need some extra one-on-one help in the hallway. You may be drilling flashcards, practicing sight words, stretching out sounds in words, reading, or working on writing. -Class Photographer- Our photographer would need to come to our special events (e.g. field trips, class parties) and take pictures! Perhaps you could put together an end of year CD or album for us! -Field Trip Chaperone- I can always use extra hands during our class trip! You will have a group of students to monitor during the field trip.
Here are a few ways you can help out at HOME: -Classroom Preparation- This job can be done in the classroom or at home. It can involved cutting large numbers of things, gluing, stapling, hole punching, etc... -The "Essentials" Helper-Lend a helping hand in making copies and paperwork that needs to be done throughout the week. -Other Needs- If you see a need that I have not mentioned, please contact me! I would be grateful to have you help in any way that you feel will be an asset to our students.
